Contemporary artist. Born in 1975, Tabaimo exhibited "Nippon no Daidokoro(Japanese Kitchen)" , an installation work with the use of animation in 1999. This was eventually awarded the Grand-prix of the Kirin Contemporary Award. Since then Tabaimo has been gaining attention through exhibiting her work in numerous international exhibitions including the 1st Yokohama Triennale in 2001, being appointed as the artists for the Japan pavilion at the 54th International Art Exhibition la Biennale di Venezia. Recently, she is known for her stage collaborations, such as a video / music performance with Pascal Roge in 2012 for the 20th anniversary concert of the Hama Rikyu Asahi Hall, and an animation for a Japanese puppet show "Sonezaki Shinju" written and directed by Hiroshi Sugimoto. She is also scheduled for a solo exhibition at the San Jose Museum of art and Seattle Art Museum in 2016. Tabaimo is currently based in Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
