No Collective (You Nakai, Kay Festa, Ai Chinen, et al.) has been fabricating music(ians), dance(rs), playscripts, picture books, and haunted houses in New York, Berlin, London, Mexico, Helsinki, Tokyo and Osaka for the last ten years. In 2014, No Collective was featured in Leonardo Music Journal (MIT Press) as one of the artists under 40 who are doing interesting things with technology. ). Since 2014, members of No Collective have also been running the publishing project “Already Not Yet” in Brooklyn, New York, publishing among other books, the catalogue raisonné of Museum der Unerhörten Dinge in Berlin, and the journal Matters of Act (http://alreadynotyet.org/04.html
). You Nakai, who will participate in the residency is also a historian of experimental music, currently writing a book on the music of David Tudor under contract with Oxford University Press.
