Schedule:2017/4/27 thu. 19:30-

Daniel Kok (discodanny) & Miho Shimizu
"жhe" public showing

Their residency is for “жhe”, which is an international collaborative project between choreographer Daniel Kok (Singapore) and artist Miho Shimizu (Japan). The multidisciplinary dance project is an assemblage of dance, installation art, sculpture, fashion and design. Since their first residency at KIAC in June 2016, they have been referring to performance forms in Asia for inspiration to help them create the character of “жhe”, which they describe as an entity that is constantly morphing between a square and an octopus. During this coming residency, they will work with artist and educator Lilia Mestre (Belgium) as dramaturge to further develop the project with their premiere in 2018 in mind.

This event is held to show the result of the work done during their stay at KIAC. Don’t miss it!
