Wu-Kang Chen and Pichet Klunchun ”BEHALF” Open Studio

Wu-Kang Chen is a choreographer and dancer who has founded the Taiwanese dance company HORSE after his long successful career at Ballet Tech in NY. He will be working on a collaborative creative project with Pichet Klunchun, an internationally acclaimed choreographer and dancer from Thailand, whose works mix Thai classical dance and contemporary dance.
Since 2016, with a focus on revisiting the tradition at both physical and philosophical levels, they have held the periods of dialogues, research and work-in-progress in Taiwan, Thailand and Cambodia. This residency at Kinosaki will be the last stage of the creation before the premiere. The performance will be premiered at Cloud Gate Theater in Taiwan in the end of May, and it will also be performed in Thailand in 2019.
