"Dancing All Movements– Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9" Work-in-Progress Showing

Known for her transversal collaborations with artists of various genres, such as “Sabi kara deta mi (Fruits borne out of rust)” with a
contemporary visual artist Tabaimo, or the recent solo work “Dancing all movements of Beethoven’s‘ Destiny’ Symphony No. 5” where each movement was choreographed by MIKIKO, Mirai Moriyama, Naoki Ishikawa and Akira Kasai who had totally different backgrounds, Maki Morishita, choreographer and dancer will bring her company Morishita Stand to the residence. Since 2016, Morishita works with unique young dancers selected by the audition. In May 2017, all the members performed solo works choreographed by Morishita, and they had presented their first company work as a trial performance in March 2018. During the residency, Morishita will direct and choreograph all the movements of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 as a group performance, which will be premiered in autumn 2019, in Yokohama.
On the penultimate day of their residency stay, April 27th, there will be a work-in-progress showing. Please don't miss it!!
