Karasuma Strok Rock and Festival "Celebration of Feast Day" in Kinosaki

Kyoto-based theater company Karasuma Stroke Rock presents a work-in-progress showing of their re-created work “Landscape of Mahoroba” premiered in Rohm Theatre Kyoto in February and performed in Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre in March 2018 with a great success. It was presented after their residency in Sendai and the creation of short pieces, dealing with the subjects of the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 and the mountain worship that seems to have largely influenced the Japanese concept of nature.
One of the biggest draws of the work is its function as a viewing party, where guests can treat themselves to alcohol and soup while watching actors perform authentic kagura, a sacred music and dance, up-close.
