Aoki Naoya Group Work Project 2019 "LANDSCAPE" Work-in-Progress Showing
In the “Aoki Naoya Group Work Project”, the choreographer and dancer Naoya Aoki works with the dancers selected from the open call. Since its start in 2017, by sharing the common body training（*called “point work”）and using the multifaceted approach, the project continues to explore the “relationship between body and dance”.
*Point work: A training method developed by Aoki for the purpose of sharing mapped out physical sensations with others.
During the residency in 2018, they performed in the Toyooka Civic Museum in Izushi. Later in the year, they premiered the new performance “atlas” at Dance New Air 2018 as the Artist Support Program of Studio Architanz.
In 2019-20, for the last year in the three-year plan, the members will come to work in a rich creation environment and to share the goals with each other from living together, in order to prepare themselves for the performance, "LANDSCAPE" scheduled in Tokyo in March 2020.
