Kinosaki International Arts Center started offering an Artist-in-Residence program for Performing Arts in April 2014. Set in one of Japan`s most picturesque and nature filled onsen towns, Kinosaki, in the north of Hyogo Prefecture, Kinosaki International Art Center is esteemed as a facility where artists can concentrate on and expand their creativity, to create great pieces of work.
The Artist-in-Residence program runs throughout the year. The aim of the program is to support the creativity of various artists and companies and then present and promote finished works both nationally in Japan and abroad. It also aims to coordinate creative exchanges with the local community and tourists, through events such as open studios, workshops, talk shows etc.
Through the Artist-in-Residence program, we hope to create new opportunities for creative exchange between artists, those working in the art industry and the local public.
