Mountain/Full Edition

Japan/Band
Mountain/Full Edition is a band formed in 2013 by Kentaro Imai and Misako Yabuuchi. Imai, a musician; Yabuuchi, known for performing with groups such as Dumb Type; and Kiuchi, a stage lighting designer, utilize their respective expertise to develop a cross-disciplinary approach centered on music.
While incorporating humor and valuing a critical perspective, they collaborate with a diverse range of guests on the theme of "art and resistance", expanding the possibilities of expression. Through their practice, they aim to pass on art to other fields.
Their guest-in-residence projects include artists Yang Jian, Miho Shimizu, and Zon Ito, as well as filmmaker Kohei Matsumura, animator Sukimaki Animation, and musician momo.

Find your way through the maze, and join the live performance!
A swirling mix of music, bodies, laser lights, art, and resistance. If you get carried away by the monkey's humor and start dancing, you'll get hit hard by its sharp claws, and the next thing you see will be towering mountains.

Mountain / Full Edition is a band centered around music and the themes of art and resistance, with musician Kentaro Imai, Misako Yabuuchi (also known as a Dumb Type performer), and stage lighting designer Hitomi Kiuchi at its core. For the residency, the band invites artists Yang Jian, Miho Shimizu, and Zon Ito, along with filmmaker Kohei Matsumura, animator Sukimaki Animation, and musician momo, to create installations and live performances that intertwine multiple forms of expression. They engage in cross-disciplinary expression, using music, video, movement, laser lighting, shadow puppetry, costumes, and poetry recitation. Through artwork made using rubbing techniques, as well as video production, they aim to create works that fuse music and visual expression.
