As a supplementary prize for the KIAC Award received at Yokohama Dance Collection 2022’s Competition I, Ayaka Ono Akira Nakazawa Spacenotblank, who have been researching and developing a mechanism for creating unique movements, “Physical Catharsis”, will hold a residency.
They will create Dance Piece No. 3 with dancers Hokuto Kodama, Ayako Saitoh, and Sayaka Tateyama on the theme of Japanese literature, as part of the “Wings”: International Dance Project by Dance Base Yokohama for Emerging Creators.

During the residency, they will conduct research in Kinosaki Onsen, which is known as a literary town, and open their creation to the public as an Open Rehearsals. And at the end of the residency, a work-in-progress showing will be held.

The piece is scheduled to premiere at the Aichi Prefectural Art Theater in October 2025 and to be presented at the Alios, Iwaki Performing Arts Center in January 2026 as part of the Aichi Prefectual Art Theater x Dance Base Yokohama “Performing Arts Selection” program.
