The town of Takeno once flourished as a port of call for the Kitamae ship.
The artist Naomi Ota and research teams created the work in collaboration with the Bratakeno Management Committee, using the scenery they found in their research, people's words and memories, and the history of the town as clues. In February 2021, it was presented as a performance to be toured while walking around the town.
-One year has passed since the performance. At the Tanaka House, we will present a film about the performance by filmmaker Shuhei Hatano, and have a discussion about the film and the future.
In addition to the screening, the Tanaka House will be open to the public for viewing materials on Bratakeno and "In This House", as well as a tour of the former shipowner's residence, which has historical value.
